Living Off Campus for the First Time.
Moving onto our new block in the summer of 2013 was all smiles and laughs. My roommates and I were excited to finally have an apartment on our own. We were turning into responsible adults and renting an apartment off campus was the first step. Move-in day has finally approached. My father and boyfriend unloaded the U HAUL as me and my mom set up my bedroom. It's a cute house for girls, very homey. We knew that it was going to be a good year. We are not banger house party throwers, however, we do have people over now and again. We thought it would be wise to introduce ourselves to the neighbors. TT our neighbor on one side is in her mid 60s. She lives alone and has long black hair. The neighbors on the other side of us are college kids. So we were set. TT even gave us her number and she said she would text us if the music was too loud before calling the cops. This was great, everything was going to be okay. We have an awesome house and our neighbors were not going to be a problem... so we thought.
Everything was running smooth until one incident started it all. It was a normal Friday night, I was taking my bike over to my boyfriends house. As you can see in the photo to the right, the side of our property ends next to TT's driveway. It extends out a little bit from our house and then her driveway is right there. So anyway, I decided to drive my bike ON MY PROPERTY to get to my boyfriend's house. Apparently TT has a silent alarm that extends a little too far off her property. When I got to the sidewalk she was already outside guns blazing. With a cellphone in hand she was yelling at me and on the phone with the police station. I told her I was clearly on my property and if she wanted to get the house blue prints she could. She had nothing to say. I rode off as she reluctantly went back inside.
After I left she had the audacity to come to our house and tell my roommates about what happen. She was in fact calling the cops on me. For what? I don't know.

Here's a little visual of how the incident went...
- Her screaming running out of her house
- Yelling at me and calling the cops
- Me and her getting into a verbal disagreement
- Some words may have been exchanged
She is probably the one of the worst neighbors you can have. She is the only member of the non existent neighborhood watch program for our street. She's the leader. If anyone parks too close to her driveway she will yell at you. If you park across the street from her driveway on a snowy day-- she will have you towed.
Imagine if there was a solution to crappy neighbors? If only there was a product that could eliminate people in your lives that you just do not get along with. In my life it would be my neighbor TT. She just ads unnecessary stress to my already stressed out college life.
Neighbor Be Gone should be funded by all supermarkets. You have a neighbor that you don't like? Just spray the product around her property.. make sure to get a clear perimeter. In about 24-48 hrs she will be gone! Where will she go? I don't know? Does it matter? Probably not, who cares at least you'll have one less thing to worry about. |
